At Hair & Son we operate a professional Chartered Surveyor department which offers a wide range of services to both private individuals and businesses. We cover the majority of South and East Essex and have many years or knowledge and experience in this area. Our services include:

• Valuations of residential and commercial property
  There are a large number of valuations which may be required by our clients and we have all the expertise to carry these out. Whether your require a valuation for mortgage purposes, matrimonial settlements, probate or even disputes, then Hair & Son are able to help. We are also well versed with valuations for leasehold and freehold property.
  
• Surveys
  Should you require more than the basic valuation, you will find that Hair & Son offer a RICS Homebuyers Survey. This report is specifically designed to supply detailed information on straight forward residential property. Where a full Building Survey is required, Hair & Son can oblige with a detailed inspection which reports on defects and gives advice on repairs.
  
• Schedules
  Schedules of dilapidations are reports which are prepared close to the end of a lease on behalf of landlords for commercial and occasionally residential property. These reports compare the state of the property prior to letting with the condition at the end of the lease and inform the landlord of any breeches or repairs required.
  
• The Party Wall Etc Act 1996
  Party walls are relevant to anyone who owns property and not just developers. These regulations need to be strictly followed if the work your are preparing to carry out affects any part of the party wall. You have a duty to inform your neighbour of any work you are proposing to undertake prior to commencement which involves a Party Wall Act notice. Hair & Son have many years experience in this area and are more than happy to help and advise of what is required.

  Resolving disputes where boundaries is concerned is an area where Hair & Son have considerable knowledge and are happy to help.
  
• Building Disputes
